It seems we may have had our first major breakthrough in the NBA Lockout this evening. Following what has been deemed a “successful” 5 and a half hour meeting between the Players Union and owners, the Knicks own Roger Mason may have spilled the beans. As the above tweet shows he accidentally tweeted “Looking like a season. How u”, quickly followed by him claiming he never said that and his twitter account was hacked. Hmmmmm
Following some quick Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson work by the voice of the Knicks @AnthonyMSG and Knick fan @Tubs_NYK, it seems this wasn’t a classic case of brash tweet turned hacked account. This was meant to be a Direct Message (DM). This was directed as a private message meant for someone’s inbox, but our own Money Mase tweeted back instead. Oops. Take this with a grain of salt but c’mon! ”How u”?!!!!!! There really is no explanation.
As an optimist for the upcoming season, I am taking this just as Anthony and Tubs see it. A BRUTAL mistake. One which I am sure won’t go over too well at Thursday and/or Friday’s meetings. Leave it to the Knicks to be responsible for the leak. But Money Mase has been involved in this process all along and I am running away with this theory. RA, RA, ROGER THAT!
