J.R. Smith to Debut Wearing # 8, Melo & Baron Almost Back

J.R. will suit up today and will be sporting # 8 in honor of the late Knicks greats, Latrell Sprewell & Danilo Gallinari. It is unclear how much Smith will play being that he is not familiar with the system. Regardless of much burn he gets, I can’t wait to see Swish in action in a Knicks uni

J.R. Smith, the player James Dolan wanted, will wear No. 8 which was once worn by Latrell Sprewell, the player Mr. Dolan traded

Baron Davis may suit up today and will only be called up in garbage time situation to log some minutes. Melo is out for today and is considered likely for Monday.

D’Antoni sound hopeful on Melo for monday: “Knowing Melo and knowing where he is, he’ll play tomorrow.”

Al Iannazzone @Al_Iannazzone

D’Antoni said Melo likely will play tomorrow. Baron is more probable tomorrow. If it’s lopsided today he could play today.

In other words Knicks faithful, we will be almost at full strength (minus Big Jorts) at some point this coming week. We went from have zero depth going into the year to D’Antoni having to do a juggling act to make sure players get enough minutes. It should be a fun finish to the regular season with the Knicks 2.0 Roster
