Houston, Lin Reach Agreement; NY Likely to Match

Source confirms Houston has reached an agreement on an offer sheet for NY Knicks restricted free agent point guard Jeremy Lin.

The rumor is 4 years $30 million.  That wouldn’t be the worst contract in the world figuring it is 5-5-10-10, with the fourth year being the only real contract still on the books.  Melo, Tyson, STAT and now Kidd are expected to expire in the third season.  I would expect New York to match but stranger things have happened these first five days of free agency.  We shall see…
